While enjoying expansive views, Franka is most often drawn to intimate landscapes that reveal more of a personal vision. She always looks for exciting light and atmospheric conditions, a balance of stillness and movement, and interesting patterns and color. The light and atmosphere she captures in her photographs often create sentimental impact and ethereal feeling.
In Sync Franka's favorite time to photograph is sunrise - when she gets to experience unspoiled moments free of tourist crowds - to surround herself with a vivid, constantly changing ecosystem. walk into the woods. take in scents of fresh air. wander along a river bank. listen to whispering trees as the wind plays its tune. soak up the silent sounds of rising mist. listen to echoes of wildlife greeting the new day. This is her inspiration.
Autumn Mist, El Capitan Meadow, Yosemite In those precious moments she feels in sync with nature and changing seasons, the complex interaction of the water, rocks, sky, plants and wildlife, the everlasting cycle of death and rebirth. Her photographs enable viewers to sense the tranquility and calmness of dawn and to experience a moment in time. |
